Introduction: A pharmacophore is the set of chemical and steric interactions between a ligand and macromolecule that are relevant to trigger biological response. In this study, the enzyme β-N-acetyl-D-hexosaminidase (PDB I.D. 3NSN) was used as model macromolecule because 3NSN is involved in chitin degradation during pupation in the Asian corn borer Ostrinia furnacalis
